During the rolling processes in plate mills and hot rolling mills, this system measures the whole width and length of the slabs in rough mills. It measures the hot slab, and is a Spontaneous Emission type that does not require any light source. This system allows the data (width and length of the slabs) measured before and after rolling can be used to control the rolling processes in rough mills.
